My Story

My name is Menno Nentjes and I have been studying and working in structural Landscaping since 1992.

I completed a four year degree at the Agricultural and Horticultural School in Holland in 1997, and another 2 year degree in Landscape Design at the University for Landscape Architecture in 1999. In the four years after finishing my studies, I worked with a landscaping business in the rural and country areas of Holland. After this time I enjoyed designing and building gardens in Amsterdam and surrounds within my own successful landscaping business.

In 2005 I decided to move to Australia. I sold my business in Amsterdam, I packed up my life, and I have been enjoying the sunshine and relaxed lifestyle of Cairns since January 2006. In 2006 I initially worked with a tree care company here in Cairns, practising the art and skills required to work with native Australian trees. During 2006 while learning about the Australian land, trees and climate, I also learnt about the Australian Standards with regards to Landscaping.

I started my own Landscaping Business in Cairns in 2007.

I love Landscaping and I still enjoy being on the tools every day more then anything else. I come out for the initial chat and to provide you with an estimate. I will also be on site myself almost daily, you talk to me directly during the whole project so nothing gets lost in translation. I will keep you updated about the cost on a regular bases and everything is transparant, you’ll know exactly where your money goes to.

I take extreme pride in my work and I only have a very small team which I have selected carefully. We will respect your home like it’s our own, no foul language and we clean up after ourselves, leaving your home neat and tidy. We’ll show up every day and get the job done as fast as possible without compromising the standard of our work. We don’t cut corners or go with cheap options so if you’re after a ‘budget’ Landscaper I’m not the right guy. We provide quality Landscaping that will last and a great finished product. We do all our work on hourly rate, I believe this is the most honest way for both parties involved.

Me and my team love a challenge and a lot of our work involves projects that no one else wants to do or ends up in the ‘to hard’ basket.
